Huizhou Kenfulai Company stepped up to promote the repair and maintenance of the booster pump in a municipal booster pump house

The municipal booster pump room of a water supply company uses two horizontal split double suction pumps as booster pumps. Due to the large demand for water supply in the area, two pumps are required to be put into operation at the same time every day in peak periods to meet the water demand of users. The use time of the two booster pumps is relatively long, and the daily maintenance is relatively little.

As agreed in the project contract, Huizhou Kenfulai Pump Sales Co., Ltd. will install a new booster pump for users, replace the original control cabinet system, add the cloud control system of the Internet of Things, and repair and maintain the original two old mid open double suction pumps after the commissioning is normal.

Today, it is the extreme weather when the temperature drops. The technical workers of Huizhou Kenfulai Pump Sales Co., Ltd. took the time to work, organized meticulously, and completed the overhaul of a horizontal mid open double suction pump and a horizontal motor in one day.

 

 

This maintenance work is to disassemble and repair 2 # pump and 2 # motor. Before maintenance, according to the safety requirements, the circuit breaker corresponding to No. 2 pump was opened to ensure power failure and avoid accidental startup of the pump and motor during maintenance.

 

 

On the operation panel of the control cabinet, signs indicating that the equipment is out of service and under maintenance are also hung to remind the operators.

 

 

In the control area of manual operation, obvious marks are also made to prevent the equipment from being accidentally started.

In this repair, the bearings of the water pump and motor were replaced with Swedish SKF bearings.

At the same time, the rust removal and polishing operations were carried out on the split face, and the sealing performance of the split face was restored.

After the replacement of parts and reassembly of the pump, KENFLO maintenance personnel carried out paint spraying on the outside of the pump. See the figure below:

 

 

After the maintenance of the water pump, the motor was disassembled for maintenance.

 

 

In addition to replacing the fan, bearing and framework oil seal of the motor, the winding of the motor was cleaned and painted with insulating paint to further enhance the winding insulation of the motor.

 

 

Through the megger test, the insulation of the motor winding to the ground is about 50 megohms, which belongs to excellent insulation performance.

 

After the winding insulation test was qualified, the motor was reassembled and the motor surface was renovated.

 

 

After the maintenance is completed, the test run is carried out with good results.

After the trial run, the operation is stable, the noise is less, and the vibration data is normal.

The No. 1 old pump unit will be disassembled and repaired tomorrow, and the wearing parts will be replaced and refurbished.
